Plano Historical Society is pleased to announce that we have secured a permanent home at 4 S. West Street, in Plano Illinois.
We opened the new museum on December 10, 2022, with a grand celebration and open house. Our museum was filled to capacity as crowds came to see the new facility.
For several years, monthly meetings were held at the Plano Community Library while members planned for the big day. The grand opening was a joyous occasion for our members who labored for weeks to have everything ready for visitors. We are grateful for all who attended and to the Plano Chamber of Commerce who conducted a ribbon cutting to inaugurate the museum.
We are especially thankful for the hospitality of the Plano Community Library which continues to support our efforts through book and calendar sales. We could not have accomplished this goal without the unwavering efforts of Bob Hausler, our historical society president.
Come see our permanent and featured exhibits.
Please consider joining Plano Historical Society, and if possible, donating or lending artifacts of Plano history for our entire community to view and enjoy.
